#8 MAKE YOUR OWN TWISTER GAME
You remember that “getting to know you” game we call twister? Yes, well, here is an opportunity to create your very own with a twist OR makes some adjustments to the one you already have!
You can make this as simple or as elaborate a game as you would like. You can use butcher paper, clear plastic, storage tarps or a refrigerator cardboard box. Whatever surface you choose to use is completely up to you.
You remember the Twister Spin Card that gives the instructions. Modify that little buddy a little bit and add just that much more excitement to the game. Add a “Bonus” slot or, you can make the game “Twister Extreme” and add a “Shuffle/Scramble” slot on the board to kick the game up a notch further! What do I mean? Ok, here is what I mean.
“Bonus” – You can move your hands and feet to colored circles that would be more comfortable, closer together. That way you are not all stretched out over the game mat.
“Shuffle/Scramble”– this means everyone switches up their position keeping the colors their hands and feet were on, just on other spots on the playing mat. This one is bound cause a dog pile if you aren’t careful.
I would love to hear from you and your crew tricked out your twister game. Please share your rules and how much your peeps enjoyed themselves! Leave me a comment below! I look forward to hearing from you!!!
#7 FIRE DRILL CARD GAMES
Fire Drill card games are a test of your skills and hilarious fun all at the same time.
Most card games are played in pairs of two or groups of four. These games can be played with the same rules as normal except for one little teeny tiny itsy bitsy addition – you will have timed rounds and you’ll switch seats to take over your opponent’s hand. This is a test of your gaming skills as you complete the round with a new set of cards to work with.
You will need playing cards, a kitchen timer (or any other form of timer i.e. cell phone, stop watch) and scoring pad if your game calls for keeping score.
Pick the direction in which the players will move. (Right or left.) Set the timer to three minutes (or any odd number within reason…5 minutes, 7 minutes) or whatever agreed upon timed duration. All other rules of the card game remain the same. Begin your game and end the game as usual.
Here are a few easy card games to get you started.
War (2-4) players per game
Speed (2 ) players per game
Go Fish (2-6) players per game
Or any other card game you choose.
This can be fun with partner games like Spades or Crazy 8’s.
Whichever card game you choose just set the timer, start the game and have a ball!
I would love to hear from you on which card games you played and how much fun you had or how crazy did the game get! Leave me a comment below! I look forward to hearing from you!!!
#6 BINGO PARTY
Bingo by any other name is still Bingo, unless you play it the way I am suggesting… then it is Extreme Bingo!!!
All you need is a regular Bingo game set and people who want to have a lot of fun! Extreme Bingo can be played several different ways.
Mingle Bingo – Mingle Bingo is a fast paced sharp-eyed version of the game.
The object of the game is to make B-I-N-G-O no matter which board you are playing on. Players will be asked to switch from their bingo board to any other bingo board that is available. In effect switching seats or “mingling.” The players will have 7 seconds to switch seats before the caller resumes calling the bingo game.
You will set up your bingo paraphernalia as usual… chips, cards, table and chairs. The Functionaries will be the Bingo Caller and the Time Keeper/Watcher who will ring the bell or blow the horn every one minute interval. Once all bodies are in motion the Time Keeper/Watcher counts backwards from 7 until he/she reaches “ZERO.” Once zero has been reached the Bingo Caller will resume calling the game. These shenanigans will continue until one person had made B-I-N-G-O! And of course, you should verify the card to make sure the truth is being told. THIS IS A VERY COMPETITIVE VERSION OF BINGO! EXPECT TO GET A “LITTLE” WARM!
I would love to hear from you on how your Extreme Bingo party went! Leave me a comment below! I look forward to hearing from you!!!
